For over 26 years during crawfish season, boiled crawfish and “live” are available in the hut outside for easy pick up. Call ahead and we will have it ready for you.  If you are having a big crawfish boil, call a few days in advance for us to make sure we have yours’ pulled and saved for you.

Fresh Crawfish are a cold weather item, but some dishes can be prepared with crawfish included all year round.

Our crawfish is cooked in the seasoning mixture with our special secret recipe of spices if you buy it here ready to go to the table. 

We have seasonings bottled for you to take home for your own crawfish boil. So buy some for your pantry or to take to a friend.

Take out / To Go is welcome. Call ahead to get your meal prepared and we will have it ready for you to go home. We also have gumbo and etouffee for your holiday meals. Ask about our Quart and gallon prices.

Welcome - From Our Family to Yours!


Vic Hendricks wanted to own a restaurant and spent time searching out exactly what he and his wife Jenny would be able to enjoy and grow along with growing their family. Vic was working with a restaurant supply company and he called on Cypress Inn weekly.  After many soul searching talks, Jenny and Vic decided to purchase Cypress Inn from Bob Coons. Bob had started Cypress Inn over 24 years ago and had a robust business on the bayou. Bob welcomed Vic to work with him at first for a short time to make sure this was what Vic and Jenny wanted to own. After a short time the restaurant changed hands to the Hendricks and continues to grow every day.

Vic and Jenny have made some changes in the last few years, adding onto the outside deck - new lighting and tables. One of the most popular areas is the family size party table on the deck overlooking the Bayou DeSiard.   Jenny said,” We added some 80 music to give the deck a good feeling.  The ‘feed the turtles’ area continues to draw kids to the outside deck to see the thousands of turtles that come for some special food that Cypress Inn has for them.  Our young son Bruin and his friends love to come and watch the turtles and ducks.”

Louisiana Crawfish

Louisiana Crawfish season is during the cooler months and the Hendricks have all you can eat and also a plate full to offer guests. During the off season you can still have crawfish cooked into many of the Cajun favorites such as gumbo and etouffee and the famous George Young sauce for the broiled catfish. Vic laughed and said,” George Young does exist and it is his favorite so it now appears on the menu.”

Alaskan Snow Crab legs

Alaskan Snow Crab legs are the new favorite signature meal at Cypress Inn. The crab legs are cooked in spicy seasoned water and served hot as either a tub of legs or a never ending all you can eat. Vic said, “We have been overwhelmed by the response to crab legs, and the repeat customers are amazing. We wanted something different that would be a fun party food like the crawfish. Crab Legs seems to fit the bill. On an average weekend you will see many tables with the tasty legs and buckets. Add a pitcher of beer or Margaritas and let the eating begin.”

Spicy Frog Legs

Newest to the list and not on the menu yet are spicy frog legs. A southern favorite with a Cajun twist sure to tickle your taste buds with a little heat. This is another family option for something different.  Make sure you have your drink close by , you may want to order a cold pitcher.

Fried and Broiled Catfish

What would a southern restaurant be without fried and broiled catfish.  Keeping in the original menu of the restaurant, all you can eat catfish and bite sized shrimp can be purchased every day. All catfish is American catfish. The hushpuppies that come with every meal are a plus for the kids.

Alligator

Alligator is a local favorite and comes from the Donald Family here in the Twin Cities. Most first timers to the area like to try out this familiar Cajun specialty.

Steak with George Young Crawfish Sauce

Hey throw a steak on the grill and make it a ribeye with a side of George Young crawfish sauce. Let us grill one for you, it is worth the few extra minutes it takes to prepare it for you to enjoy.
